What is the Denali Line?

The Denali Line is GMC’s premium trim level that offers the best in luxury, looks, technology, and capability. Vehicles included in the Denali line are the GMC Terrain, Acadia, and Yukon for SUVS, and the Canyon, Sierra, and Next Generation Sierra for trucks. When you choose Denali, you’re guaranteed the best GMC has to offer. And – we’re not going to sugarcoat it – you’ll also be getting some of the most stunningly gorgeous vehicles on the highway.

Comparing the Denali and the SLT

The Differences Between the Denali and SLT Trim

Here, the Terrain SLT trim is on the left and the Denali is on the right.

The SLT is the trim level option priced between the standard SLE and the Denali. While the SLT is loaded with impressive features and capabilities, there are significant differences when it comes to luxury and power. For example, when considering the Sierra, the Denali is equipped with multiple engine options including the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, or the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel Engine. The SLT, however, only has the option of the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8. A variety of engine options with the Denali allows for more power and capability if that’s something you desire.

When it comes to looks and features, it’s simply tough to touch what the Denali delivers. For the Denali, 20-inch aluminum wheels are standard, compared to the SLT’s 18-inch. The Denali also boasts an unbeatable multicolor 15” head-up display and rear camera mirror, an array of chrome accents including an eye-catching grille, and a refined interior that will have every passenger starry-eyed.

History of the Denali Line

In 1999, the GMC Yukon was the first model to carry the Denali nameplate, raising the bar against competitors like the Ford Expedition. Ever since, the Denali Line has continued to grow and impress – often thought of as a symbol of high status. Interestingly, the word “Denali” derives from the Koyukon Athbascan language, translating to “The Great One.” So it’s only fitting that GMC uses “Denali” to describe their highest luxury trim.
