Voting is now open for The Ledger’s Best of Central Florida awards! We were so proud to find out that the entire Kelley Automotive Group has been nominated as one of the top 5 used car dealerships, and even more grateful after we found out that the nomination came directly from the community.

The community had the opportunity to nominate businesses via The Ledger website from July 12, 2020 through July 26, 2020, and they chose to nominate our entire Polk County automotive group, which includes locations in Bartow, Winter Haven, Lakeland, and Auburndale. Kelley Automotive Group also has one location in Cheifland, FL.

Voting began this morning at 12:00 a.m. and will end on September, 20, 2020. The winners will be entirely determined by the votes of our local Central Florida community, so it would mean so much to us if we win. We are a family and locally-owned and operated group of dealerships, and so many team members were born and raised right here in Polk County.

Despite COVID-19, we’ve been blessed with a lot of recognition and support this year, including having multiple dealerships in our dealership group win 2020 Top-Rated Dealer Awards from CarGurus. Kelley Buick GMC in Bartow was also named Florida’s only GMC Dealer of the Year by General Motors earlier this year, and they were also awarded a Buick Mark of Excellence award (also by General Motors).

We’ve been grateful to be able to share this support with the community and give back through the Twenty Buck Truck program (which supports youth in agriculture), sponsoring the Cheep Jeep at Jeepin’ with Judd and sponsoring Bustin’ Clays with Grady Judd, as well as various other initiatives. This closure will affect all of their Polk County dealerships, which includes Kelley Buick GMC in Bartow, Kelley Used Truck Store in Lakeland, Kelley’s Used Cars in Auburndale, and Kelley of Winter Haven. The service center at Kelley Buick GMC in Bartow will also be closed.

While the automotive group has opted to be open for many recent holidays in light of the current pandemic, they have chosen to be closed this Labor Day in order to give their employees a day off to spend with their loved ones. As a family-owned and operated group of dealerships, they wanted to make sure to give their employees that time since they’ve been so flexible for their customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Polk County-based automotive has received numerous requests from customers to offer extended after-work and Saturday hours, and they are accommodating those requests. The service hours at the Bartow store have been extended until 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, and until 4 p.m. on Saturdays. The opening hours will remain the same at 7:30 a.m. Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m. on Saturdays

Both dealerships are part of GM’s Business Elite program, which was created to make sure business owners have the best sales and service experience possible over the lifecycle of any vehicle they purchase through the program. The program gives customers access to business financing and leasing options, priority hours, and work-ready loaner vehicles. Kelley Buick GMC customers also have access to a mobile service unit for fleet vehicles.

New for 2020, Buick has introduced their new Buick Encore GX, which slides right in between the popular Buick Encore and Buick Envision, size-wise. This new addition slides in at a very budget-friendly price point, while being roomy enough for everyone in the family, whether you’re looking to tow car seats or adult-size teenagers.

Whether it’s because people want to make the process of buying a car, truck, or SUV quick and easy-or because people are trying to limit in-person interactions as COVID-19 cases increase all over the state, including in Polk County-we’re finding that more and more customers are calling in and requesting a virtual test drive. However, the question we get over and over again is: how does a virtual test drive work?

The short answer is that it’s really easy! But since we know you want to know the details, we thought we’d break the process down for you, step-by-step. Here are the steps:

1. First, you’ll call (844) 885-6132 or fill out a form on this website to let us know which vehicle you’re interested in. You’ll be speaking with someone in internet sales, and they’ll be asking you for a few key points of information, including your first and last name, phone number, email address, as well as information on the vehicle you’re interested in. At this point, you can go ahead and let them know if you’d like to visit us in person, or if you’d like to request a virtual test drive and free local home delivery.

2. If you decide you’d like to buy your new vehicle remotely, we’ll start by taking the vehicle you’re interested in on a quick, filmed test drive. This not only allows you to get a closer look at the vehicle you’re interested in, but you’ll also get the chance to see how it drives. This is also a great time to send over any questions you have about the vehicle, so that we can answer any questions for you while filming.

3. While a truck specialist is filming your walkaround video, the internet salesperson will text you over a link to our secure, online credit application. They’ll also request a copy of your driver’s license for identity verification purposes.
